Holiday Schedules

All public libraries and support offices will be closed in observance of the upcoming state holidays:

Prince Jonah Kūhiō Kalanianaʻole Day – Thursday, March 26, 2026

Good Friday – Friday, April 3, 2026
The Kaimukī, Kāneʻohe, and Pearl City branches that are typically open on Sundays will be closed to observe Easter on April 5th.

Memorial Day – Saturday to Monday, May 23 to 25, 2026

King Kamehameha Day – Thursday, June 11, 2026

Independence Day – Friday to Sunday, July 3 to 5, 2026

Statehood Day – Friday, August 21, 2026

Labor Day – Saturday to Monday, September 5 to 7, 2026

General Election Day – Tuesday, November 3, 2026

Veterans Day – Wednesday, November 11, 2026

Thanksgiving Day – Thursday, November 26, 2026

Christmas Day – Friday, December 25, 2026

ALERT | In holiday observance of Presidents' Day, all public libraries will be closed from Saturday to Monday, February 14 to 16, 2026.

[ALERT FOR MARCH 24, 2026] The following libraries will be closed on March 24, 2026 while our staff assess the condition of the buildings: Mānoa Public Library, Waialua Public Library, Waimānalo Public Library,  Molokaʻi Public Library and Kīhei Public Library.
