The Business, Science and Technology (BST) Section is located on the second floor on the mauka side of the library. The collection includes reference and circulating materials covering pure and applied science, technology and business.  This includes books on advertising, automotive repair, carpentry, computer science and the Internet, cooking, finance and investing, gardening, health, mathematics, parenting, pets, real estate and transportation.

Did You Know?:  A list of resources at the Hawaii State Library of interest to small businesses.

Energy Resources Collection:  A list of materials purchased through a multi-year grant from the HEI Charitable Foundation and Hawaiian Electric Company (HECO) through the Hawaii Library Foundation.

Funding Resources Materials in the collection can help nonprofit groups and individuals identify sources of funding and provide advice on fundraising and proposal writing.

Interviewing Resources:  A selection of titles aimed at both the job seeker and the employer.

Nonprofit Resources:  Titles of interest for organizing, planning and managing non-profit.

Retirement Resources:  Websites and titles for planning your retirement.

Small Business Start-Ups:  Information about starting and running specific small businesses.

Small Business Topics:  A list of subjects, such as advertising, e-commerce, business plans, etc. with call numbers used by the Hawaii State Public Library System.
