Aloha!
Welcome to Kane'ohe Public Library, the largest
branch on the Windward side of O'ahu. Please visit us in person in
beautiful Kane'ohe; we are located below the Police Station.
You may also wish to sample our links,
which have been selected by the staff with an emphasis on
Windward O'ahu and other local sites.
The library's collections include:
- Books (Adult, Young Adult,
Children's: Fiction & Non-Fiction; Hawai'i &
Pacific; Large Print)
- Books-on-Tape and CD
- Compact Discs
- Historical Photographs of
Kane'ohe
- Microforms, including the Honolulu
Advertiser and Honolulu Star-Bulletin.
(The two papers merged to form the Honolulu
Star-Advertiser on June 7, 2010.) We were very
fortunate to receive funding to fill the gaps in the
collection; we now offer much more complete runs of both
papers, with holdings dating back to May 1, 1882. We also
have the U.S.Census (1900, 1910, 1920, 1930).
- Periodicals (Popular Magazines
& Newspapers, including most Neighbor Island papers)
- Videos and DVDs
In addition, we offer free Internet
access to walk-ins on a first-come, first-served basis (space
available). One hour sessions are available at
seven stations while one fifteen minute express station is
also available. A valid HSPLS library card and PIN are
required for self-registration. Click

WI-FI
(PDF, 46 KB) became available within the library on January
